“Within These Walls”, 2023-ongoing, is a collection of baby cribs and mobiles constructed from heavy logs, thorny branches, spiky seed pods, all hanging in delicate balance. This project examines the unsettling contradiction of childhood as both a site of nurture and a landscape of vulnerability. What are the consequences when a caretaker delivers love and repeated harm all at once? What does it mean to be cradled by something that wounds? Can stability exist when trust was coerced?
